Briny Breezes is one of the smallest and most unusual municipalities in Florida — a cooperative mobile home community on the barrier island with fewer than 600 homes. Nearly all the structures are manufactured homes or mobile homes, and the community is owned cooperatively by its residents. Most of the homes were built in the 1950s and 1960s.
